ITW Signode’s Reel Wrapper is for axial wrapping of reels to reinforce the load and also protect from dust and other foreign particles. The Reel Wrapper consists of:
Cradle roller set
Semi-automatic turn table or automatic rotary arm stretch wrapping machine for axial wrapping
PLC control system
The heart of the machine is its powered pre-stretch film delivery, a system that elongates stretch film at a consistent rate prior to being wrapped around the load. This high level of pre-stretch saves you money by increasing the yield from every roll of film. It also provides for superior load retention because pre-stretched film is stronger and resists further stretching. The Accustretch I™ pre-stretch carriage uses patented technology to ensure consistent film output around the load. As the carriage rotates around the product/load, film payout is increased or decreased. The film's wrapping tension (force-to-load) can be controlled. For light, fragile loads, film tension can adjust to as little as little as 1.3 kg.

Operation sequence
Load the paper reel with help of hoist/forklift
Roll the reel into the machine cradle rollers mounted on the turn table
Intiate the axial wrapping cycle
Machine performs the axial wrapping cycle
Cut the film and eject the reel out of the machine
Unload the reel for further operations
